I was pleased to recently have the chance to visit Miss Harmonie Language School which has recently expanded and taken on new premises at Henson Business Centre in Redcar.
It’s so great to see local people setting up businesses and wanting to help their community.
Today I brought the Industry Minister to see the British Steel rolling mills at Lackenby, and to hear more about the plans for a new electric arc furnace here.
Great to visit Laburnum Road Library today with the Friends of Laburnum Library and some local councillors, and hear about their ambitions for the library.
Down at Eston Market and bumped into Ben Houchen and some of our local councillors!
The Market is a great initiative started by the two local conservative councillors there - David Taylor and Stephen Martin with the help of Richie Kerr-Morgan - now a great feature of Eston!
Great to visit Azotic Technologies which is based at CPI within the Wilton Centre. They are an exciting and ever-growing business which produces nitrogen fertilisers known as “Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus” (Gd).
I went to meet with Jamie from the Junction Foundation at their offices in Dormanstown to talk about all the amazing things this organisation offers and in particular the new Youth Employment, Education & skills service.
I visited Zetland Primary School last week as part of their “Careers Week” event where people from all different professions came along throughout the week to talk about their jobs and answer any questions the pupils had about their roles.
