Brrrrilliant time at Redcar’s Boxing Day Dip ! Fantastic to see so many people supporting so many different causes.

Great to join Christ Church & St George’s for their candlelit Carol Service in Eston this evening.

Thank you to Revd. Graham and everyone there for making it a lovely service ahead of the big day tomorrow.

Kind of them to play one of my favourite Carols too !

Really lovely carol service by the tree in Redcar Cemetery this afternoon - organised by Dot, Ged & the Friends of Redcar Cemetery.

CHRISTMAS CARD WINNER

First stop today was to congratulate Freya, who is the winner of my Christmas Card competition this year.

Have been told this morning the government has chosen to not to do the Hydrogen Village in Redcar.

I recognise that this will be welcomed by a number of residents in Coatham who had concerns about the project.

Promise made. Promise delivered.

STEEL MAKING TO RETURN TO TEESSIDE

So buzzing for my mate, Ben Houchen, who has managed to deliver this huge boost for our area - and I’m really proud to have played a small part in getting this over the line.

For National Engineers Day I want to pay tribute to our engineers in Teesside who’re training the next generation.

Great to join the folks at Scream Factory again this year and volunteer as one of the Actors scaring the attendees!

 REBUILDING ESTON BATHS 

Went down to Eston Leisure Centre to see the progress on Eston Baths.

When the baths first closed at the time of the pandemic, I made a promise to the people of Eston I would work night and day to get a new baths on the same site.

Really pleased to be at the Redcar Contemporary Art Gallery  for the opening of their new exhibition from artist Kirill Sokolov.

Many of his works he painted while in Durham and around the North East, so it’s really special to have them here on display.
